Geek is Sexy!

We had another meeting of the Book Club today...ostensibly to discuss The Last Lecture but we really only talked about it for about five minutes. The rest of the time it was Megan, Jeannie and Christy gab fest. The three of us get along really well and just jabber like idiots when we're together. Jeannie makes this amazing cinnamon swirl cake that we were devouring...and so were the kids. Christy's daughter Cassidy was eating some of the cake and Daniel was sitting in front of her, picking up all the pieces she was dropping and stuffing them in his mouth. It was like watching two little monkeys grooming each other. We were giggling too hard watching them to put a stop to it. I wish I'd had my video camera for that. Of course, once the cake was gone Daniel made a beeline for me to try to find more. My little monkey loves food. Between him and Joey, I swear we are going to be broke just from food bills. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what to read next month, so I'm open to suggestions. We don't want anything too long or too heavy since we are busy moms. The other two books so far were Time Traveler's Wife and The Undomestic Goddess. Christy said we should try a mystery, but I don't know what to pick.
